Meet the ArtistVal got her start in design working with the Music and Media department at Mount Hope Church. In 2003, she decided to change career paths to pursue design full time.
Her studies included design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and ImageReady and Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash. Val also learned essential design skills including photoediting and retouching, page layout and HTML and CSS based web design.
Her first professional design was for the 2004 DeWitt Band Boosters Arts and Crafts Fair. She also designed the promotional poster for the 2005 Lansing Community College Student Art Exhibit, her design having been selected out of 23 different proposals.

DoR'h media was born in 2005 to Val Margaret Leonard, Graphic Artist, a graduate of Lansing Community College. Having had extensive training and experience in graphic arts, DoR'h media provides unique solutions to your design needs.
About the Name
"What does DoR'h mean?" Is a very common question. With a very simple answer: absolutely nothing. The name DoR'h media is a result of a tablet PC to desktop PC Instant Messenger conversation gone awry (Ahh, the wonders of technology).
While attempting to enter the word "DORK" on a tablet PC, there was a miscommunication, and somewhere between leaving the hand wielding the stylus on the tablet and reaching the screen of the desktop, DORK became DoR'h. Meant as a joke at first, it has now become the name of this multimedia production company.
Things We've Done
Other accomplishments include the 2006 Lansing Passion Play: The Payment website, form designs for Williamston Family Chiropractic and multiple Music & Media Department designs for Mount Hope Church.

Things We Don't Do
Unfortunately, we can't do it all. And we won't skimp on some services just to provide others, so while DoR'h media provides many services, there are some things that we are not yet able to provide, including printing and web hosting. We can make recommendations for providers of these services, however, and will provide you with everything you need to take a finished design project to a professional who can perform these tasks.
